Nature knows best: How to give your body the good stuff

When it comes to diet fads, we see different things every week in health magazines, and they dominate our Instagram feeds. If you drink this very tea, we are told, you’ll never put on weight again, and you’ll also be able to see into the future. Well, it goes something like that. In short, there are so many diet ideas and supplements out there, and many of them aren’t actually good for your body.

In fact, the only way to really give your body something good is to stick with what Mother Nature intended, and we’ve put together a guide to help you to do this.

Drink more water

We’ve been told about this little trick for decades now, but let’s say it a little louder for the people in the back. Water is good for you in more ways than one, and if you’re not getting your fill of this natural wonder, you’re making a big mistake. Not only is it the simplest way to stay hydrated, but it also has many health benefits, from making you feel more awake and alert, to ensuring that your skin is clear and glowing. If you’re not on top of this, taking out a bottle of water during the day – and refilling it as necessary – will be a constant reminder to fill up.

Take advantage of nature’s medicine

The natural world is full of fruits, oils, and other good stuff that will improve your health, if only you know the right places to look. People like those at Erbology offer some of these delights, such as bergamot. Whilst you wouldn’t just eat this bitter citrus fruit, when you use it as an oil – which is what gives earl grey its flavor – it has been said to reduce cholesterol. Rose water is another good one, and it is known for soothing the skin, helping sore throats, and even reducing scarring. From aloe vera water to walnut oil, trying out a natural boost could help your health greatly!

Get some fresh air

Whatever fads you’re reading about, and whatever you’re trying as your next health trick, there really is nothing better than getting out there, and breathing in some fresh air. This also has many health benefits, such as boosting your mood and allowing you to increase your fitness levels. Whilst it may not seem like a small walk will help your body and your mind, try this out every day for a week, and see whether you feel better as a result. You’ll be meeting people who live in your community, enjoying the scenery, and having a reunion of sorts with the great outdoors.

So, if you’re looking to give your body the good stuff, without resorting to unnatural dieting advice, why not go back to basics, and get in touch with nature? From drinking more water and staying hydrated, to taking advantage of nature’s plants and oils, there really is nothing that beats what the great outdoors has to offer. If this isn’t cutting it for you, then just take a walk. You’ll be glad that you did.
