Watsons campaign will make you love the sun this summer

Summer time is just a few weeks away and it means activities that offer fun and excitement. It also means taking care of the body, skin and hair against the scorching heat of the sun and dusty summer days.

The sun is considered a drawback when summer comes as everyone is exposed to ultra-violet rays and dust causing sun burn, skin diseases and hair problems as well. Whatever activities you do under the sun – whether going out of town to swim on the beach, play some outdoor sports, try new adventures, etc. – you should always be armed with the right sun protection products and be aware of the harm longer exposure to sun rays can cause.

This is what the summer campaign which health and beauty products retailer Watsons launched is all about. Called “Love The Sun,” the campaign implies that one should not be afraid of the sun and the harm it may bring as there is a wide selection of products for skin and hair protection available at Watsons.

Aside from skin and hair protection products, Watsons also has vitamins and other health supplements to offer to help you achieve that “summer-ready body.”

To help prevent changes in the skin such as wrinkles and age spots due to exposure to sun, it was recommended to apply sun block that is non-greasy, non-sticky and easily absorbed by the skin every day, and use products that protect skin from the sun, pollution and dirt.

“To protect yourself from skin damage due to sun exposure, you should always have the proper tool with you, which is the sun block,” Nicole Hernandez, a mother of two children, says. “The skin gets better and feels good as it absorbs the sun block fast so you don’t feel sticky.”

Participating brands in the Watsons’ “Love The Sun” campaign include Nivea, Belo, Banana Boat, Sunplay, Biore, Dermplus, Kojie San, Neutrogena, Solstice, Beach Hut, Hawaiian Tropic, Cetaphil, Olay, Pond’s, Snow, Celeteque, Thiocell, Shiro, Gluta-C, L’Oreal, Vaseline, Creamsilk, Pantene, Vitress, Veet, Lactacyd, Dentiste, Chic, Bobbie, and Body Fantasies.

To turn up the heat more this summer, all SM Advantage Card (SMAC) members can get a chance to win a trip for four (4) to any of the following destinations: Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

Every Php500 single-receipt purchases of participating products is equivalent to one (1) e-raffle entry to join the promo.
