The leading life insurer earned 119 points in the 2023 ACGS assessment, a marked improvement from the company\u2019s scores in previous years. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To encourage companies to exceed local\nregulatory requirements and adopt higher standards of corporate governance, the\nACGS evaluates companies on key governance aspects, including shareholder\nrights, fair treatment, stakeholder engagement, transparency, accountability,\nand the effectiveness of the board, while benchmarking against international\nbest practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accepting the award for the company is\nChief Legal, Government Relations, and Sustainability Officer, Atty. Paul\nMandal, who called the recognition \u201ca proud moment\u201d for Pru Life UK. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c[This recognition] reflects our\nunwavering commitment to corporate governance,\u201d Atty. A new area that the\ncompany is currently exploring is Takaful or Islamic insurance, which is\naligned with the priorities of the Insurance Commission (IC) and the national\ngovernment. Pru Life UK targets to become the first insurer to launch Takaful\nin the country, reinforcing its commitment to address the diverse needs of\nMuslim and non-Muslim Filipinos alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pru Life UK has been a consistent Golden\nArrow awardee for eight consecutive years.
