From teleconsultation, digital record-keeping, and utilization of artificial intelligence and augmented reality, the current healthcare infrastructure compels medical workers to be equipped with modern skills and know-how.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two of\nthe country\u2019s most esteemed organizations, MAP\u00daA University and Healthway\nMedical Network (HMN), join forces to hone globally competent Filipino\nhealthcare workers. A formal partnership was signed enabling Map\u00faan Health\nSciences students to take advantage of Healthway\u2019s wide network by training in\nits clinics and outpatient centers as part of their nursing and medical\ntechnology curriculum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat\nMAP\u00daA University espouses is experiential learning,\u201d said Dr. Dodjie S.\nMaestrecampo, MAP\u00daA University\u2019s President and Chief Executive Officer. \u201cPart\nof the school\u2019s strategy for student success is exposing them to advanced and\nimmersive learning facilities. We give our students access to simulation rooms\nwhere they can practice in a safer environment so that when they get to the\nworkplace, there\u2019s more patient safety and interpersonal skills,\u201d Maestrecampo\ncontinued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nMAP\u00daA University School of Health Sciences is also in collaboration with\nArizona State University (ASU), the no. 1 \u201cmost innovative school\u201d in the U.S.\nby the U.S. News &amp; World Report. This collaboration opens the doors of\nstudents to world-class learning resources and prepares them for a career in\nhealthcare at par with the&nbsp; rest of the\nworld. The students\u2019 learnings and digital literacy will then be applied as\nthey undergo training in Healthway clinics and outpatient centres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For\nHMN, partnering with MAP\u00daA is another step further in their nation-building\nefforts. Following its various efforts to bolster worker retention in the\nmedical field,&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; HMN is pleased to tap\nthe youth and offer them training initiatives, scholarship programs, and job\nopportunities within its network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHealthcare\nworkers are in demand now more than ever,\u201d said HMN Chief HR Officer Sean O.\nZantua. \u201cWhat we aim to do is to help address the human capital challenge in\nthe healthcare sector by streamlining the career path of our students, so that\nwe can raise the industry standard and offer them equal opportunities at home,\u201d\nZantua shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nMAP\u00daA University and Healthway Medical Network partnership allow students to\nmaster the most important lessons including innovative techniques and human\nskills that will equip them to meet the challenges of the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\nare thrilled for this partnership to come to fruition because at Healthway, our\nbrand promise is \u2018Care Beyond Cure\u2019,\u201d said Jaime Ysmael, Healthway Philippines\nInc.\u2019s President and CEO. \u201cWe make sure that we treat our patients as human\nbeings with families and with stories to tell. With the current\ndemand for healthcare professionals, the government is making efforts to expand\nits medical and nursing education programs. It is projected that more\npublic-private partnerships will rise to achieve the goal of universal\nhealthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nMAP\u00daA University and Healthway Medical Network partnership marks a significant\nmilestone for both institutions to improve healthcare for all Filipinos.
