Unfortunately, finding a convenient place to store everything is a challenge many homeowners face.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to landscape designer,\u00a0Doug Scott, storage is something a lot of people forget about when designing an outdoor living space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Whether it&#8217;s gardening tools and supplies, outdoor furniture cushions, or a random collection of toys, almost everything we do outdoors comes with stuff,&#8221; Scott said. &#8220;And it&#8217;s not always convenient to go back inside and get those things.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scott has partnered with Exmark on a new\u00a0<em>Done-In-A-Weekend Projects<\/em>\u00a0video that shows homeowners how to build a dual-purpose outdoor storage bench that offers convenient on-patio storage. It also provides comfortable outdoor seating for family and guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"How to Build an Outdoor Wood Storage Bench | Done-In-A-Weekend Projects: Stow-Away Seating | YouTube\" width=\"740\" height=\"416\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OcrrRj5rfTg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s really the best for both form and function,&#8221; Scott said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While it&#8217;s possible to build the exterior of the outdoor storage bench from several wood options, Scott said untreated cedar is a good choice, for several reasons.
