In the Philippines, BMG is, of course, known as the cosmetic surgeon of stars. \u201c(In our surveys, when you mention Vicki) Belo\u2019s name, the word immediately associated with it is beauty. This is something we (had to build over time),\u201d Henares says, stressing that, especially for BMG, focusing on \u201ccreating the image is very, very important, since it becomes the basis of your very existence. Without that image, the credibility of that image, (then you fail). But with a good image in place, everything else (that is good) follows.\u201d<\/p>\n

Under ISCI, the products that now carry BMG\u2019s name carry, includes the Belo Essentials Whitening Lotion and Whitening Lotion with SPF 15; Belo Essentials Whitening Face Wash and Pore Minimizing Whitening Face Wash; and Belo Essentials Whitening Body Bar and Smoothening Whitening Body Bar. The products all use the Dermlight Skin System, a two-way whitening system that controls melanin production, and prevents melanin transfer to the surface of the skin, resulting in whiter skin.<\/p>\n

With its seeming aproach to promoting whitening the skin, Henares says that ISCI is in no way promoting colonial mentality. Instead, in BMG\u2019s 17 years of clinical experience, skin whitening has always been the most requested procedure, \u201cand we wanted to capitalize on that,\u201d Henares says. Besides, \u201cwe only provide options for (people to choose from) when caring for their skin. We\u2019ve always believed that beauty is the best expression, whatever form that expression may take, of the self. We simply provide the products and services to (help in this expression of the self, of beauty).\u201d<\/p>\n

ISCI is aligned with BMG’s intention \u201cto beautify the country one person at a time,\u201d Henares ends.<\/p>\n
