We were invaded by White people in 1521, but \u2013 even now \u2013 we still only have three train lines.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"tiktok-embed\" cite=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@outragemag\/video\/7553223884246469906\" data-video-id=\"7553223884246469906\" style=\"max-width: 605px;min-width: 325px;\" >\n<section> <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"@outragemag\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@outragemag?refer=embed\">@outragemag<\/a> Check <a title=\"londonunderground\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/londonunderground?refer=embed\">#LondonUnderground<\/a> <a title=\"trains\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/trains?refer=embed\">#trains<\/a> in <a title=\"london\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/london?refer=embed\">#London<\/a>, aware it could be unsafe for <a title=\"lgbt\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/lgbt?refer=embed\">#LGBT<\/a> <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"\u266c original sound  - Outrage Magazine\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/music\/original-sound-Outrage-Magazine-7553223955025988368?refer=embed\">\u266c original sound  &#8211; Outrage Magazine<\/a> <\/section>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UK, as an example, has the London Underground. Managed by Transport for London, this started in 1863 as the world&#8217;s first underground passenger railway. It now has 11 lines with 250 miles (400 kilometers) of track, with its 272 stations serving around five million passengers every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This isn\u2019t a perfect system. Obviously, this is London-centric. It only serves the Greater London area, and some parts of the adjacent counties of Buckinghamshire, Essex and Hertfordshire in England. This is like saying <em>na wala ngang<\/em> LRT or MRT <em>sa<\/em> Bulacan <em>o<\/em> Cavite <em>o<\/em> Antipolo <em>eh<\/em>, and this lack highlights the exclusion of those also in need of proper public transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking at London\u2019s train system through the LGBTQIA+ lens is actually disheartening\u2026 particularly if we talk not only about possibly meeting <em>booking<\/em> while riding trains. In 2023, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.londontravelwatch.org.uk\/news\/one-in-five-lgbtq-people-experienced-hate-crime-on-transport-network-in-the-past-year\/\">London TravelWatch<\/a> released a report that revealed that when LGBTQIA+ people used public transport:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One in five (21%) experienced hate crime in the past year while travelling on public transport in London<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Four in five (82%) respondents changed their behavior or appearance to \u2018fit in\u2019 so they avoid abuse or harassment when travelling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>65% of those who experienced abuse or harm when travelling in London said bystanders witnessed the incident but did not intervene<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery aligncenter are minority sectors that could be disadvantaged. And so this must always be considered to make sure all spaces are truly inclusive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But off we go for more LGBTQIA+ <em>rampa<\/em>\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UK&#8217;s London Underground serves millions every day, an example of a working train system (that we do not have in the Philippines).
