But the seafood offerings aren\u2019t always complete since these restos do not always offer most of what\u2019s good from the seas.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And so it is with interest that we dropped by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/HomeOfAffordeliciousTunaDishes\">Tuna Republik<\/a>, which \u2013 basically \u2013 conceptualized tuna as fastfood.<\/p>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"tiktok-embed\" cite=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@outragemag\/video\/7511208481844727048\" data-video-id=\"7511208481844727048\" style=\"max-width: 605px;min-width: 325px;\" >\n<section> <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"@outragemag\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@outragemag?refer=embed\">@outragemag<\/a> Looking for affordable <a title=\"tuna\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/tuna?refer=embed\">#tuna<\/a> meals? For this #LGBT trip to <a title=\"bulacan\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/bulacan?refer=embed\">#Bulacan<\/a> <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"\u266c original sound  - Outrage Magazine\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/music\/original-sound-Outrage-Magazine-7511208567168174849?refer=embed\">\u266c original sound  &#8211; Outrage Magazine<\/a> <\/section>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The branch in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/people\/Tuna-Republik-Pulilan\/61554743143524\/?_rdr\">Pulilan, Bulacan<\/a> only opened in January 2025, and\u2026 at least when we went there, it has yet to gain traction. <em>Walang tao<\/em>. Too bad, really, for a franchise that\u2019s targeting the no-meat crowd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now\u2026 how was the experience for us?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery aligncenter \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Una<\/em>, the venue is relatively new, and so everything here was\u2026 <em>sariwa<\/em>. The pitchers even had price tags <em>pa<\/em>. Spacious and airy, this place seems ideal for events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ikalawa<\/em>, the staff were not noticeable. <em>Yung <\/em>pegis<em> parang<\/em> fastfood, so the people are there\u2026 but aren\u2019t there. Servers <em>lang<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ikatlo<\/em>, price-wise, affordable <em>naman siya<\/em> \u2013 e.g. they have rice toppings for those with tight budget, ranging around \u20b1100 <em>lang<\/em>, while the meals are around \u20b1200-\u20b1300 <em>naman<\/em>. <em>Presyong<\/em> group eating for most of the offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ika-apat<\/em>, taste-wise, most of what we got were better than okay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sashimi (\u20b1249) was good as it wasn\u2019t <em>malansa<\/em>, and didn\u2019t taste frozen and wasn\u2019t flaky. But the accompanying <em>toyo<\/em> was\u2026 almost bland, so <em>di nakatulong<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuna Belly (from \u20b1350) was good, well grilled\u2026 albeit small <em>ang<\/em> size.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuna Pancit (\u20b1249) was quite good; it made me forget there\u2019s no meat in it. <em>Malasa, <\/em>the<em> sahog<\/em> weren\u2019t overcooked, <em>di mamantika<\/em>, and so on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sizzling Tuna Sisig (\u20b1199) was the one that disappointed. <em>Walang<\/em> oomph, so it tasted like fried fish flakes <em>lang<\/em>. Pretty when served <em>sa carajay<\/em>, but there\u2019s not much of it, too.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuna Republik is like\u2026 a <em>karinderya<\/em> (local eatery) pretending to be a fastfood while offering tuna-centric food. Try to visit if you are willing to spend to get not-bad tuna-revolving offerings. <em>Hindi naman siya<\/em> disappointing.
