SKG launches new F5 massage gun with hot compress

SKG, a high-tech company specialized in developing massage devices, launched its new massage gun, the F5 portable, lightweight massage device with embedded heating function. This massage tool helps to target problem areas that are hard to reach and to aid the improvement of muscle inflammation and tension with deep muscle release. 

Massage is undoubtedly beneficial for people with varying activity levels due to the technology-driven lifestyle. On top of that, a range of present factors mean that effective muscle relaxation has never been more important: the financial and emotional tolls of the pandemic are severe, and hastily designed home offices lacking ergonomic rigor are the norm. Thus, offering a relaxing at-home massage to one’s significant other with the F5 massage gun will undoubtedly be an ideal Valentine’s Day gift idea for girlfriend or wife in lockdown.

“We designed the F5 to be beautiful looking and effective, but we really think its lightweight is the major differentiation,” said Jack Liu, CEO of SKG. “It’s small enough to fit in a purse and to be used whenever and wherever it’s needed.”

Highlights of the F5 include:

  • Look: The F5 is beautifully designed with a stylish pistol-shape, satin finish and gradient light. 
  • Portability: While massage guns are great after a sweat session, they shouldn’t be a workout to carry. The F5 weighs only 0.66 lbs – less than half the weight of the Theragun Mini – and can be carried anywhere. The handle of the product is designed to give customers an easy to hold grip.
  • First ever built in heat compress: In addition to the percussion therapy offered via the massage gun the F5 contains a heating mechanism embedded in the bottom of the gun’s handle to help loosen muscles. It has three levels of temperature 40, 48 and 53 degrees Celsius, and marks a first time ever that this feature is embedded in a device of this nature.
  • Noise and performance: Its 5V brushless motor and high-quality bearing allow for an almost silent massage, with three frequency levels of up to 3200 rpm and noise level lower than 45dB.

“While all our products go through rigorous testing and iterations, the F5 is perfectly aligned with both modern life’s hectic pace and the unique challenges COVID has brought. We created it to help our customers better cope with the challenges and improve their healthier lifestyles,” said Liu.

AXA PH volunteers join forces for good

In the Philippines, the volunteer activities kicked off with two simultaneous events: a meal packing session for the benefit of Rise Against Hunger Philippines, and solar light building in partnership with Liter of Light.

Annually, insurance company AXA organizes one full week dedicated to sustainability. The AXA Week for Good, the highlight of the purpose-led company’s year-long corporate responsibility activities, aims to celebrate the ability of AXA employees to take positive action by offering their time and skills to support our two sustainability pillars: climate change & biodiversity and inclusive protection.

In the Philippines, the volunteer activities kicked off with two simultaneous events: a meal packing session for the benefit of Rise Against Hunger Philippines, and solar light building in partnership with Liter of Light. Rise Against Hunger is an organization committed to ending hunger and malnutrition, while Liter of Light is a global non-profit organization that provides sustainable and affordable lights to people with limited or no access to electricity.

Employees also volunteered for Rise Against Hunger’s mobile soup kitchen activity in communities around Taguig. These soup kitchens serve Filipinos that are especially in need of nutrition, including pregnant mothers, the elderly, and children.

Through the combined efforts of these activities, volunteers were able to pack a total of 5,400 meals, assemble 250 solar lamps, and feed 1,500 children.

The company also organized a blood donation drive, which served as their response to the current blood shortage in the country due to the ongoing pandemic. A total of 44 bags of blood were collected from this initiative.

AXA Philippines employees also participated in mangrove planting activities held in Batangas and La Union, with volunteers working together to plant a total of 550 mangrove seedlings to help maintain the ecological health of the area.

In addition to the multitude of activities arranged by AXA entities locally, the Paris-based AXA Group also organizes a ‘Global Challenge’ with all members of its volunteer program, AXA Hearts in Action.

AXA entities worldwide celebrated Week for Good via special activities in partnership with The Good Planet Foundation. These include climate- and biodiversity-themed workshops that help raise employees’ awareness on climate change issues.

In the Philippines, employees volunteered at the Rise Against Hunger Good Food Farm to learn about sustainable agriculture practices and help harvest produce from vegetable and fruit gardens. Volunteers harvested 35kg worth of vegetables with the local farmers, which will be used in meals for the adopted communities of AXA Philippines and Rise Against Hunger.

AXA PH supports marine environmental education through Emma by AXA

For every AXA Philippines customer who will sign up, pay their premium for the first time, or do top-ups on Emma by AXA through the app or website from July 25 to August 31, AXA Philippines will donate ocean education storybooks to the children of Oceanus’ partner local communities through AXA Hearts in Action, AXA’s volunteer program. This August, AXA Philippines is partnering with Oceanus Conservation, a science-based non-profit environmental organization focusing on the conservation and restoration of blue carbon habitats in the Philippines, to promote ocean literacy to Filipino children.
