This is not merely about\ntheir personal success, but also about helping build financial resilience so we\ncan create a more financially secure future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Promoting financial literacy to more schools, students,\nand communities <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In collaboration\nwith Corazon Sanchez Atayde Memorial Foundation (CSAMF), Peso Smart x\nRecoveREADS has now been taught to over 400 new students in eight schools\nnationwide, including Banilad Elementary School in Cebu; San Miguel Elementary\nSchool, Ilugin Elementary School, and Buting Elementary School in Pasig; Pembo\nElementary School in Taguig; Dao Elementary School in Bohol; Gubat Elementary\nSchool in Albay; and Pinget Elementary School in Baguio. Lessons encompass classes\non budgeting, saving, and investing, empowering them about the value of taking\ncare of their financial well-being this early so they can build a better\nfuture. Each student gets a Peso Smart kit, which includes educational modules\nand essential learning tools to support their educational journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFinancial literacy\nempowers every Filipino kid to believe that a financially secure future is\nnever impossible. All it takes is for them to build a great foundation. Learning\nthe basics of smart money habits is a step towards the right direction, and we\nare glad that our partnership with Manulife enables them to carve their path\ntowards their envisioned success, by being Peso Smart,\u201d Margaux Atayde, Executive\nDirector, CSAMF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Additional learning kits and tools for Peso Smart hubs in\nGawad Kalinga communities <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Manulife&#8217;s senior\nleaders recently convened to conduct an introductory session of Peso Smart for\nthe residents of Gawad Kalinga (GK) Eversley in Mandaue City, Cebu. Split into\ntwo teams, the leaders engaged children and adults in foundational financial literacy\nconcepts and created meaningful connections with the local community. The event\ncultivated the partnership between Gawad Kalinga and Manulife, reinforcing\ntheir shared commitment to sustainable community development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Besides learning\nsessions, Manulife turned over volunteer donations, which included Peso Smart\nkits, printers, humidifiers, laminating machines, and various educational board\ngames and materials, to Peso Smart learning hubs in Mandaluyong, Taguig,\nSiargao del Norte, Agusan del Norte, and Roxas City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Manulife\nestablished Peso Smart hubs in 2023 to provide computers, free and reliable\ninternet access for remote schooling, and after-school activities to students\nin GK communities. \n\nSince its inception, more than 3,000 students have\ngraduated from the Peso Smart program.
