{"id":7104,"date":"2021-05-16T14:42:50","date_gmt":"2021-05-16T06:42:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zestmag.com\/online\/?p=7104"},"modified":"2021-05-16T14:42:50","modified_gmt":"2021-05-16T06:42:50","slug":"ingat-angat-bakuna-lahat-campaign-launched-to-support-governments-covid-19-vaccination-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/zestmag.com\/online\/ingat-angat-bakuna-lahat-campaign-launched-to-support-governments-covid-19-vaccination-program\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Ingat Angat Bakuna Lahat&#8217; campaign launched to support government\u2019s COVID-19 vaccination program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The private sector-led <\/strong><em><strong>Ingat Angat Bakuna Lahat<\/strong><\/em><strong> campaign was recently launched to support the government\u2019s national vaccination program against COVID-19 aimed to encourage and strengthen the willingness of Filipinos to get vaccinated, and assist the government in accelerating the vaccination rollout in the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative is the result of the massive private sector participation, commitment and collaboration to educate Filipinos about the COVID-19 vaccines and reduce vaccine hesitancy. The roll out of government\u2019s vaccination drive will empower Filipinos to help jumpstart the economy by supporting the business sector while practicing health and safety protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To show their support to the initiative, the country\u2019s top corporate brands and media organizations roll out vaccination advocacy campaign to encourage more Filipinos to get vaccinated. These include BDO, Cebu Pacific, Food Panda, Globe Telecom, Goldilocks, ICTSI, Jollibee Foods Corporation, McDonald\u2019s Philippines, Megaworld, Philippine Seven (7-11) Corporation, Smart Communications, SM Supermalls, Unilab, Zuellig Pharma, and Restaurant Owners of the Philippines (RestoPH).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Media partners, on the other hand, include Facebook, GMA Network, Kapamilya Channel, <em>Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas<\/em> (KBP), Outdoor Advertising Association of the Philippines, ShareIt, T.A.P.E., TV5, and Viber. Agency partners include Cobena, EON, HIT Productions, Mindshare, Omnicom Media Group, Pabrika, PSRC, Slingshot, and Wunderman Thompson.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Aimed at fast-tracking the vaccine rollout to contain the rising number of COVID-19 cases, participating hospitals will coordinate with the Department of Health (DOH) and local government units (LGUs) to administer doses to priority recipients including health workers, senior citizens and persons with co-morbidities. Private healthcare providers commit 25 hospitals to administer 150,000 doses in the NCR Plus ( Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal), Batangas and Pampanga.\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Private healthcare providers that support the campaign by sharing their expertise and available capacity to the national government as well as in LGUs include Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (AC Health), Metro Pacific Hospitals Holdings, Inc. (MPPHI), Mount Grace Hospitals, Inc., St. Luke\u2019s Medical Center, and The Medical City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Medical experts from the Philippine Medical Association and the Philippine Society for Microbiology and Infectious Diseases have also endorsed the campaign and lent their expertise to ensure that the content is science-based. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mall groups also participated in the campaign with Megaworld committed 11 of its malls while SM Supermalls allotted 37 of its malls nationwide, providing a total of 48 additional vaccination sites.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMass vaccination is expected to protect more Filipinos from severe and critical cases of COVID-19 and the goal of the government is to vaccinate 70-million Filipinos so the country can achieve herd immunity. The commitment of the private hospitals and malls will help augment the vaccination administration of the LGUs for their constituents,\u201d shares Dr. Manuel Dayrit, former DOH secretary.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 chief implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., the private sector-led vaccination program will provide a major boost to the government\u2019s vaccination rollout and may start in June as they open up vaccinations for A4 or economic frontliners and government essential services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;The Philippine national government is in talks with multiple manufacturers to ensure enough doses to vaccinate 70-million Filipinos before yearend, the number needed to achieve herd immunity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Only doses approved for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will be made available. Vaccines approved by the FDA are safe and effective in preventing serious illness, hospitalization, and death. The Vaccine Experts Panel (VEP) and the National Immunization Technical Advisory Group (NITAG) also conduct independent reviews to ensure that these are safe for use in the Philippines.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This initiative is the result of the massive private sector participation, commitment and collaboration to educate Filipinos about the COVID-19 vaccines and reduce vaccine hesitancy.
