Introducing \u2018Ashenwood\u2019, one of the recent fabric designs created by Kit Kemp with Chelsea Textiles.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This embroidery is made by hand using English wool and feels very bespoke and individual. It is called \u2018Ashenwood\u2019 after an area of the New Forest where the designer walk dogs, so that hearing this word always evokes fond memories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kit Kemp created the fabric in three colorways:\u00a0Autumn<\/a>,\u00a0Summer<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Spring<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Summer colorway, little touches of sky-blue make the room feel cool despite being surrounded by warm yellows and pinks. Sometimes, it is just that little thread that instills the necessary balance. The geometric pattern works perfectly with the classic floral by Lee Jofa. The vertical lines of the design leading up the headboard accentuate the height of the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the window, the fabric may be used horizontally as a pelmet. It always creates interest to run fabrics both ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Ashenwood\u2019 also works very well in more neutral schemes. In the bedroom, the Autumn colorway may be used as the main fabric, adding warmth to the white walls of the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It works perfectly with the objects in the room, such as a Staffordshire porcelain dog lamp or the small Imari collection on the light timber desk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To keep the room fresh and crisp, use the \u2018Ashenwood\u2019 fabric on the leading edge on the curtains, which makes the space brighter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Ashenwood\u2019 may be thrown on the back of our Whitby chair. The fabric is carried through to the bedroom as an extra detail on the bed cushions to harmonize the scheme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u2018Ashenwood\u2019 fabric in the Spring colorway picks up the blues and different shades of deep raspberry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Little details, such as the cushions in contrasting fabrics and the pumpkin lamp with a colorful lampshade, make the room feel like home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Drawing Room, the graphic quality of \u2018Ashenwood\u2019 creates an interesting contrast with the more traditional floral patterns, while harmonizing beautifully with the soft pastel colors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
