We\u2019ve all heard of a destination wedding. The appeal of marrying on a white sand beach with the gentle sound of the waves lapping is easy to understand. It\u2019s relaxing and romantic. Everyone is in a good mood because they\u2019re all getting a vacation out of it. No wonder they\u2019re becoming more popular. If you haven\u2019t quite got that far in your relationship, would you consider a destination proposal? <\/strong><\/p>\n

If your partner dreams of being whisked away somewhere warm, sunny and romantic, then why not do that? It could be the perfect place to declare your love and propose a lifelong commitment to each other. Chances are you want this to be a surprise, so where do you start?<\/span><\/p>\n

Annual Leave<\/b><\/p>\n

It\u2019s probably best to start with their workplace. You need to let their boss know that you both want to <\/span>take a vacation<\/span><\/a>. After all, annual leave is sometimes tricky to work out. Be certain to ask them to keep it a secret. If the time off is secured, you need to check the passport is valid. It must still be in date after you intend to return. You will also need to check the local restrictions or visa requirements of your intended destination.<\/span><\/p>\n

If all of this checks out, then it\u2019s time to book your flights, accommodation, and excursions. If you know the area well, you might be able to book an exclusive restaurant or plan an event at your favorite place. By now you\u2019re probably getting quite excited. But there are a few more details to manage first.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Proposal<\/b><\/p>\n

Start with the engagement ring. No proposal is complete without it! You can select styles like the <\/span>old cut engagement rings<\/span><\/a> if you want something unique and romantic. Perhaps you already have an idea of what your partner might like? You should also prepare what you want to say as you get on one knee. It\u2019s easy to trip over your words if you haven\u2019t planned and rehearsed this bit.<\/span><\/p>\n

All that\u2019s left now is the <\/span>packing<\/span><\/a>. If you\u2019re not confident you\u2019re going to get this bit right, call in a friend or sibling of your partner to manage this bit for you. Don\u2019t forget to pack some extra cash just in case anything gets forgotten. Now, how are you going to whisk your partner away?<\/span><\/p>\n

Start Right<\/b><\/p>\n

You might arrange a limo to pick her up from work. Or maybe you\u2019ll wait for your partner to come home and then surprise her with the tickets. You could work this surprise for a full day with cryptic messages and clues to keep her guessing. Why not start with a spa day for you both before the limo picks you up for the airport? What would make her heart melt?<\/span><\/p>\n

Proposals should be as romantic as you can possibly make them. They should be memorable and magical, and even provide a little mystery. They don\u2019t always have to be a surprise, but they should be surprising. Would you take the love of your life away for a destination proposal?
