They are completely responsible for a lot of aspects. But, of course, they can only do so much. They should make sure that all of the equipment you use is safe. And, if it isn\u2019t, they should train you to use it in the safest possible way. Your employer isn\u2019t responsible for things that you bring from outside of work unless they see that it\u2019s a violation of health and safety rules. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you do get injured as the result of health and safety violations, you will usually have grounds to take legal action against the company. This will be with the aim of getting compensation so that any time you spend out of work due to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.injurylawyers4u.co.uk\/?gclid=Cj0KEQiA6_TBBRDInaPjhcelt5oBEiQApPeTF7Un0rNm5O8yI-fElCf_KGuhnvj21FL6MCZ0LKBpQdQaAuei8P8HAQ\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the injury is paid for<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Obviously, you need to be realistic. You should only try to claim against your employer if they treat you unfairly and the injury is serious enough to stop you from working. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>STRESS AND HARASSMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Much like the working areas of the business, employers are also responsible for making sure that staff aren\u2019t stressed. It\u2019s important to an employer to have calm staff because stressed people don\u2019t tend to work very productively. <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/conditions\/stress-anxiety-depression\/pages\/understanding-stress.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stress can be caused<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by many factors. So, it\u2019s important that you let your boss know if you feel too stressed to work properly. You will have to figure out what is causing the stress yourself. Otherwise, your boss won\u2019t be able to make changes to account for it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your employer is also responsible for monitoring harassment. They have to make themselves available for one on one meetings, so that you can let them know if you\u2019re being harassed. Bullying in the workplace is hard to deal with, but it\u2019s surprisingly common. Both stress and harassment can lead to further health issues. Fit staff members will always perform better than unfit ones. For this reason, a lot of companies will use regular <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthassured.org\/health-assessments\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">health assessments<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to make sure that their staff are healthy. This is something that you can request. But, you\u2019ll have to do some research first. If you take the very best option to your boss, they\u2019re much more likely to take it. If you simply ask for a checkup, they\u2019ll likely forget, and it won\u2019t ever get done.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When it comes to working, your health should be both your employer\u2019s and your own key concern. It can benefit you both greatly, especially in physical jobs.
