But what is more terrifying is the fact that many of us miss the signs we might be developing the disease. The awful truth is that the signs of cancer can often be incredibly vague, and are also similar to everyday symptoms. These <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cancer.org\/cancer\/cancerbasics\/lymph-nodes-and-cancer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tumors in your lymph cells<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> can cause an increase in your metabolism. It can often lead to your body working overtime throughout the night. The result is night sweats &#8211; and drenched pajamas and bedding. If this is happening to you, it is advisable to pay your physician a visit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Heartburn<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Everyone gets <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/heartburn\/basics\/definition\/con-20019545\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">heartburn<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at some point &#8211; perhaps even with regularity. It\u2019s a sign of overindulgence, but it can also be a sign of stomach or oesophagus cancers. If you suffer from heartburn for anything longer than a couple of weeks, go for a checkup without delay. It might just save your life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Difficulty passing urine<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When men get older, their prostate tends to grow, meaning they have more difficulty passing urine. However, it\u2019s also a sign there could be something more sinister at work than just aging. Get to a doctor quick, as the earlier, you start seeing <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/prostatecancerdr.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">prostate cancer specialists<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the more likely you will enjoy a recovery. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Croaky voice<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A hoarse and croaky voice is a symptom of the common cold and a whole variety of minor illnesses. It could be a sign that you have cancer in your neck or throat &#8211; in your vocal cords, for example. Again, an early diagnosis often means a complete cure, but if you leave it too long things can get complicated. In some cases, you may have to have your voice box removed or a part of your throat. And, in a worst-case scenario, cancer could spread throughout your upper body. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Constant mouth ulcers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We all get <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.healthline.com\/symptom\/mouth-ulcers\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mouth ulcers<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from time to time. But if they persist and won\u2019t shift with treatment, it could be a serious issue. You&#8217;ll need to check for white marks and patches on your tongue and mouth. If you see any, make sure you move fast to see a doctor. It could be a sign of mouth cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Inability to swallow properly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You might be having problems with eating for a broad variety of reasons, from a simple sore throat to tonsillitis. But, it can also be a sign of throat or esophageal cancer. As we mentioned above, if you catch these cancers early they are treatable. But the longer you delay seeking treatment, the more of a problem they will become.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are suffering from any of these issues, please see your doctor.
