<\/span><\/u>Practo, one of Asia\u2019s largest healthcare booking platforms, and Uber, a\u00a0ride-hailing technology platform, announced a partnership that will make it easier for consumers to reach doctors.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Practo users across Philippines, Indonesia, India and Singapore who book an appointment on Practo\u2019s app will now be able to see the closest Uber available when they get a reminder alert for their appointments. Users can then click the reminder notification and complete the booking process.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe realized that transportation issues often bring additional stress to a doctor\u2019s visit \u2013 having to drive through traffic, then hunt for parking \u2013 all while you or your loved one is sitting in the car feeling ill is a terrible experience. There are also many patients who may not be able to drive themselves to a doctor at all. Our goal with this partnership is to completely remove this anxiety by integrating with Uber\u2019s incredible experience and bringing that to our consumers,\u201d said\u00a0Shashank ND, founder & CEO of Practo.<\/span><\/p>\n

New users who book their first appointment on the Practo app can use the promotion code <\/span><\/span>UBERPRACTOMNL <\/span><\/b>to avail two free rides, up to P300 per ride, with Uber. This offer is valid until the end of\u00a02015.<\/p>\n

In addition to viewing the estimated fare and how long it will take for the Uber to arrive, the driver\u2019s app will be prefilled with the final destination\u2019s address at the beginning of the trip<\/span>. On requesting an Uber, the user\u2019s final destination will be autofilled on the driver\u2019s app once the trip starts. The next phase of integration will involve notifying the user to request for an Uber, an hour prior to the appointment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The partnership in four markets \u2013 India, Indonesia, Philippines and Singapore \u2013 will soon expand to cover more countries as Practo and Uber continue their expansion.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
