We\u2019ve checked one of their Quezon City branches before, and\u2026 we weren\u2019t disappointed <em>naman<\/em>. This time around, we had a chance to check one of their southern branches, Escobar\u2019s Nomo in Bacoor in Cavite.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How did we find our Escobar\u2019s Nomo experience?<\/p>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"tiktok-embed\" cite=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@outragemag\/video\/7508197440479120658\" data-video-id=\"7508197440479120658\" style=\"max-width: 605px;min-width: 325px;\" >\n<section> <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"@outragemag\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@outragemag?refer=embed\">@outragemag<\/a> Cheap <a title=\"steaks\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/steaks?refer=embed\">#steaks<\/a> in <a title=\"cavite\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/cavite?refer=embed\">#Cavite<\/a>? We <a title=\"lgbt\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/lgbt?refer=embed\">#LGBT<\/a> <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"\u266c original sound Outrage Magazine\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/music\/original-sound-Outrage-Magazine-0?refer=embed\">\u266c original sound Outrage Magazine<\/a> <\/section>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Una<\/em>, the place is not hard to find. It\u2019s inside a mall (Villar\u2019s Nomo \u2013 A Vista Lifestyle Center). There are pluses here \u2013 e.g. this is near Las Pi\u00f1as <em>lang<\/em>, they have lots of parking, and so on. But you also have to follow mall hours; meaning they close at 9PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ikalawa<\/em>, the resto itself is\u2026 typical of a mall-based resto. Okay tables with okay seats, enough seating so no waiting for us, and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ikatlo<\/em>, the staff sufficed \u2013 e.g. not very friendly, but they knew the stuff in the menu (and what\u2019s not available for the day).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery aligncenter has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ika-apat<\/em>, how was the food?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We ordered the Grass Fed Rib Eye (\u20b1455), and what we got may not have been a thick slab of meat, but it wasn\u2019t too thin we\u2019d complain. Cooked properly (MR), it was okay-seasoned, even if Escobar\u2019s proclivity to slice the steak for you never sat well with us (they should at least ask if it\u2019s what we want).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hungarian + Rice + Eggs (\u20b1139) was so-so; we got a not-memorable sausage, though the potato we ordered as rice replacement was good, and the eggs were also well-cooked.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vinaigrette Salad (\u20b1210) didn\u2019t taste like it had dressing at all, though \u2013 at least \u2013 the veggies used were fresh, and so went well with the meats on the table.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aglio Olio Pasta (\u20b1158) wasn\u2019t bad \u2013 e.g. pasta was properly cooked, sauce wasn\u2019t runny (even if somewhat tasteless), and so on. But it wasn\u2019t memorable.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>One thing we realized with Escobar\u2019s: No matter what branch you visit, Escobar\u2019s is a \u201csafe\u201d steakhouse. Meaning, you get a not-memorable steak here without emptying your wallet. You don\u2019t necessarily remember how good, or bad, what you had; you just remember that it wasn\u2019t bad enough to complain about it, but it wasn\u2019t good enough, either, so you give it your rave reviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And so now, if you\u2019re looking for a safe steakhouse, then Escobar\u2019s Nomo \u2013 along with other Escobar\u2019s branches \u2013 is okay to consider.
