It recently captured the top spot among Philippine life\ninsurance companies in customer recommendation, based on the Net Promoter Score\n(NPS) survey conducted in the Philippines by the global market research firm\nIPSOS in 2024. Additionally, over the last five years, the company has also\npaid claims amounting to PHP 12.9 billion, standing by its promise to be with\ncustomers as their trusted financial partner for its customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCustomers in the Philippines are becoming\nmore proactive in planning their financial protection against any\nuncertainties. These results\ninspire us to delight customers even further and consistently provide them the\nlevel of service and customer focus they truly deserve,\u201d Hora added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Financially\nsecuring and empowering Filipino families <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Driven by its goal to protect more\nfamilies, Manulife Philippines aims to further broaden its customer base to\nhousehold decision-makers and young Filipinos through its comprehensive suite\nof health and life protection products including Manulife Freedom and Manulife\nHealthFlex. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Manulife Freedom<\/strong> offers guaranteed cash payouts and life\nprotection and is designed to be a reliable savings plan which can help\ncustomers fund their children&#8217;s education, pursue their passions, prepare for a\ncomfortable retirement, or leave a legacy to their loved ones.<\/li><li><strong>Manulife HealthFlex<\/strong>, on the other hand, offers comprehensive\nprotection for over 100 critical illnesses from early diagnosis to recovery,\nwith different payment plans tailored to customers\u2019 lifestyle and budget.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Enabling\ncustomers to live <em>Better Days<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Manulife Philippines also recently\nintroduced renowned content creator and creative director Erwan Heussaff and\ndaughter Dahlia as the brand\u2019s newest ambassadors, joining actress, wife, and\nmother Anne Curtis to promote better protection for Filipino families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMuch of what we know about health and\nwellness starts from what we learn at home from our own family members, so we\nare delighted to partner with the Heussaffs to inspire more Filipino families\nto make financial planning a priority,\u201d Hora shared. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cParticularly following the pandemic,\ncustomers have realized that out-of-pocket payments and their emergency savings\nare not sufficient to pay for future medical costs. They want to be as prepared\nas possible to ease any financial burden on their children\u2014who can, in turn,\nlearn and adopt the same thinking from their parents,\u201d he added. \u201cThat\u2019s why we\nat Manulife Philippines are constantly looking for ways to boost Filipinos\u2019\nlevel of financial security through products and services that provide protection\nagainst uncertainties, empowering customers to live better every day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, Manulife Philippines is focusing\non its young Millennial and Gen Z customer base to demonstrate the importance\nof early preparation to secure their financial futures. The company is\nenhancing its product offerings and strengthening its health and life\nprotection solutions based on customer insights, as well as recruiting younger\nadvisors who can provide financial advice to help address young Filipino\ncustomers\u2019 evolving insurance needs. This is in light of a 2024 Manulife\nPhilippines study, which found that\nFilipinos remain largely unprepared for medical emergencies, with 41% dipping\ninto out-of-pocket spending. On average, surveyed Filipinos have set aside PHP\n62,000 for future medical needs. However, those ages 18-29 only have an average\nof PHP 38,000 saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhile Gen Z customers are starting to\nbuild their financial security, they are also highly conscious of how easily\nfactors beyond their control, like medical emergencies, can deplete their\nsavings. In this view, we encourage young customers to start investing in their\nhealth and financial future through protection solutions that suit their unique\nneeds and budgets, helping them face the future with confidence,\u201d Hora said.\n\u201cThey can count on us at Manulife to continue developing solutions that provide\nfinancial and health protection when it truly matters.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since opening its doors in 1907, Manulife\nPhilippines has expanded its business of providing customers with diverse and\ninnovative health, wealth, and protection solutions through its comprehensive\nproduct suite. In 1999, Manulife Financial Corporation (MFC), Manulife\nPhilippines\u2019 parent company, was officially listed in the Philippine Stock\nExchange. As of end-January 2025, MFC has the largest market capitalization\namong companies listed in the PSE with PHP2.95 trillion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shaping\nFilipino communities for the better<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of its legacy, Manulife Philippines\nhas also committed to investing in the communities it serves through the Impact\nAgenda, its global community investment program focused on building a better\nbusiness to better the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Peso Smart\nis Manulife Philippines\u2019 award-winning financial literacy program that supports\nthe initiatives of the Department of Education to expand and improve the\nfinancial literacy aspect of the K-12 curriculum. To date, nearly 2,500\nFilipino learners have benefited from the program, with its offshoot PesoSmart\nx RecoveREADS currently being implemented in 10 public schools and three\ncommunity centers in 9 cities nationwide.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Since 2022,\nManulife Philippines has engaged colleagues and advisors through its Forests\nfor Life collaboration with Haribon Foundation.
